We’re here for the work that matters, and that includes the often unseen, always essential housekeeping professionals keeping hotels clean and fresh around the world.
Our Executive Series™ housekeeping carts have been a trusted and vital part of hotel operations for over 20 years. And like with all our cleaning equipment, we always want to ensure that our carts meet the needs of the fast-paced hospitality sector. So we’ve consulted hospitality professionals to help us design three new, improved housekeeping carts for 2025.
Read on to discover what’s new and how it can help your housekeeping team be more efficient.
Powered by industry insights
Right from the beginning of the design process, our latest carts were made with users’ needs in mind. We consulted housekeeping professionals from across the hospitality sector and learned that their main concerns were manoeuvrability, storage, and organisation.
In fact, 60% of housekeepers say their housekeeping cart is too heavy and difficult to manoeuvre safely1.
The new cart designs meet these needs, while maintaining the durability and overall high-quality we strive for in all of our products.
So what’s new?
Storage is the core of every housekeeping cart. These updated models have 27% more internal storage space, minimising unnecessary trips to the storage room.
And it’s not just linen storage – the full-size carts feature a new designated workspace with space for cleaning products. You can add on even more storage space with the new amenity organiser and cleaning caddy, so housekeepers have everything they need on hand.
The last thing you need is brooms and mops falling off a cart while you’re moving it, which is why we’ve also improved the cart’s stick holders. Now there’s room for five pieces of cleaning equipment rather than four – and don’t forget the vacuum holder as well.
But with higher capacity for linen and supplies, there’s also a risk of the cart becoming heavier. So, we designed ergonomic handles that encourage an even grip to give users better control over the cart’s movement.
With housekeepers twice as likely to experience a workplace injury involving pushing and pulling tasks relative to other occupations and 43% of housekeeping accidents directly related to the pushing or pulling of loaded carts2, it’s clear that investing in quality tools designed to take the strain is essential for protecting the wellbeing of housekeeping staff.
Using the right equipment boosts efficiency and reduces the risk of injury.
We’ve also improved the housekeeping cart’s manoeuvrability by adding an additional locking caster. That’s five casters compared to the previous four, with two swivel ones and three locking. This allows users to switch the cart between fixed and swivel modes and fully lock the cart stationary when needed.
Last but not least, these carts have new impact-absorbing, non-marring bumpers designed to reduce costly wall damage.
A cart for every hotel
The new housekeeping cart range includes three different models: full-size, compact, and full-size with a hood and doors. But which is right for your venue?
The full-size cart
A new standard of excellence, the full-size cart features modular shelves for more customisable storage options, plus a designated workspace for easy access to your cleaning supplies.
The compact cart
This more compact design has a smaller footprint while maximising storage space. It’s the perfect fit for narrow corridors and busy venues.
Don’t worry about the tight fit though, the compact model comes with the same impact-absorbing bumpers as the other carts.
Full-size cart with hood and doors
Finally, there’s the full-size model with lockable hood and doors, giving you an extra layer of security as well as a sleeker aesthetic. The hood conceals cluttered cleaning supplies from guests, while ensuring easy access for staff.
You can also customise any of these three carts with our range of housekeeping cart accessories to create a tool that perfectly meets your needs.
Moving towards more efficient cleaning
More ergonomic cleaning equipment that has more storage space builds more efficient cleaning routines, as staff can get more work done in fewer trips.
Take the Vale Resort, for example: they improved cleaning time by 60% when they switched to our more efficient housekeeping carts and spray mops.
Investing in ergonomic and efficient cleaning tools not only enhances the speed and quality of cleaning but also contributes to higher job satisfaction, fewer injuries and lower turnover rates amongst staff3.
